1977
Park Lane was established as a result of a management buy-out from Thorn EMI. This was led by one of the few female senior leaders in the IT industry at the time, Lurline Archay. Lurline built the business with a team of smart, hardworking and honest people over many decades where the company’s skills, expertise and delivery capabilities, particularly in the area of Oracle and financial data, has been regarded as first class. Just like that premium spot on the Monopoly board. -
2017
Ben and Melissa Wortley join the business. Ben has a long standing history in the IT sector. Melissa doesn’t! Ben has worked in both family businesses and ASX listed organisations managing programs for clients of all sizes across many sectors. Melissa has a strong background in general management and running her own consulting practice. Together, the opportunities in joining Park Lane were to add value to a business that already had outstanding pedigree in technical delivery and to explore working together. A few years on and they still like each other. -
2020
Park Lane establishes a team and launches operations in Sri Lanka. With the complement of cultures, outstanding skills and concurrent growth in the two regions, the opportunities to support clients are abound. -
2023
Park Lane founder, Lurline Archay, is recognised in King’s Birthday Honours. Lurline was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) (General Division) for her service to information technology.
Now and the future
Underpinned by a market-led approach, the Wortley’s have broadened the scope of offering for Park Lane’s government and enterprise customers. This has seen significant growth in the the scope of projects, an extended service catalogue across more diverse technologies and the onboarding of more highly skilled technologists and analysts.
Building on core Oracle and Microsoft expertise with new skills across Google and Cloud and Data Analytics capabilities in all forms, the Park Lane of today is quite different to the one you may be familiar with.
